Public Service

Responsibilities
The Public Service Division is responsible for performing maintenance, repair and improvements to the city-owned infrastructure in order to provide for the safe, efficient, and expeditious movement of motor vehicles and pedestrians throughout the city. Additionally, the Service Division maintains community appearance and public buildings and assures the safe and proper mechanical condition of city vehicles and equipment.

These duties are performed through planned, self initiated, preventive maintenance actions as well as being able to respond to weather events, vehicle crash cleanup and other random occurrences.

Hours
Office hours will change during weather emergencies and occasionally during the summer when 4, 10 hour work days are often observed. The correct procedure at any time would be to contact the normal Service Division number first. If there is no answer, then contact the after-hours number listed.
