Assistant City Engineer
Starting Salary: DOQ ($68,525 Minimum)

The City of Beavercreek, Ohio is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant City Engineer. This is a full-time position that requires administrative and technical work in the performance of a variety of engineering functions in the planning, development, and the construction of projects under the limited direction of the City Engineer. The successful candidate must have the ability to apply principles of civil engineering to a wide variety of projects, review planned private and public projects to ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements, provide oversight of the design, review and construction of Public Works Capital Improvement Projects, and to provide assistance to other departments as directed by the City Engineer. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree in civil engineering, or other related field, or any combination of education and experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities. Possession of, or ability to obtain promptly, a valid Ohio Driver’s license is required. Possession of a Professional Engineer’s License in the State of Ohio, or the ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire is required. Maintenance Workers

The City of Beavercreek, Ohio is currently accepting applications for the positions of Seasonal Street Maintenance, Parks Maintenance and Golf Maintenance. These are temporary seasonal maintenance positions. Applicants must be able to perform any and all manual tasks required. Knowledge and use of various hand tools is required. Bartender

GENERAL NATURE OF WORK: This is semi skilled work responsible for selling a la carte food and beverage services to customers. An employee in this class reports directly to the Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager for daily instruction, schedule and general duties.

EQUIPMENT & JOB LOCATION: This position requires specific knowledge of Beverage and Alcohol services and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Any one position may not include all of the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in all positions in this class.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Provide courteous service to the guests.
Responsibly handle monetary & credit transactions
Responsibly service a la carte food services in a sanitary manner.
Responsibly service alcohol products to customers following the state and federal laws.
Understands all equipment and its uses - including set-up, break down and clean up.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand during shift.
Must be able to lift 50lbs+.
Maintain a neat and sanitary work environment.
Maintain personal hygiene to departmental standards.
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Prior Alcohol training and/or certification suggested.
Prior experience with P.O.S systems and computer skills.

DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from a standard high school, or the equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work other than normal working hours, and to work various shifts as necessary.
Possession of or ability to obtain promptly, a valid Ohio Driver’s License.

Dishwasher

Applications are currently being accepted for Dishwasher at the Beavercreek Golf Club. Prior dishwasher experience is a plus. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Dishwasher hours will vary from 0-35 hours per week based upon the Club’s business. Pay range $7-$8/hr. Must be available nights, weekends and holidays.

Applications are currently being accepted for Cooks at the Beavercreek Golf Club. Prior kitchen experience is a must. Banquet prep experiences are a plus. This position will require use of kitchen skills, i.e. meat cutting, hot line service, sauces, etc. Must be available weekends and holidays. The City of Beavercreek’s Golf Club is a full service facility with both a la carte and banquet services for up to 230 guests. Cook hours will vary from 0 to 35 hours per week based upon the club’s business. Pay range is $7.90-$10.75/hr.
