Park Rules The Beavercreek Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture manages over 22 different
parks.
These include:
Alpha Mill
745 Alpha Rd.
 The
Alpha Mill is a historical building in the original village of Alpha, just south
of Creekside Trail. It once milled a variety of grains. Still standing is the
Mill and the office, used now as a museum. The scales can still be seen outside
the office. The museum is open during the summer months on a limited weekend
schedule by the members of the Alpha Landmark and Preservation Historical
Association. The exterior of both buildings can be seen from the road and from
the bike trail.
Directions: Alpha is located east of N. Fairfield
Rd. Take Alpha Rd. north from US 35 or take Alpha Rd. south from Dayton-Xenia
Rd.
Ankeney Soccer Complex
This popular sports facility features many soccer fields of
varying sizes. Used by the Beavercreek Soccer Association as their primary
playing fields, the park is used in the spring, summer, and fall. The BSA owns
two-thirds of the present fields

C.I. Beaver Park
3696 Highmont St.
CI Beaver Park is located in the Knollwood area of the
City, just off of Dayton-Xenia Road. The main entrance to the park is located
at 3696 Highmont St.. There is some playground equipment available, and the
single trail that runs through the park along the creek provides a scenic walk.
A small basketball court is available.
C.I. Beaver Hall is a small building located inside the
park. Leisure Classes sponsored by the City are held in C.I. Beaver Hall, as
well as special events. The Hall can be rented for functions of up to 100
guests. The Hall is completely handicapped accessible. A full kitchen is
available for use of the renter. There are 40 parking spaces.

Cinnamon
Ridge Park
4070 Willow Run Dr.
This is a real treasure to Beavercreek residents.
Overlooking the valley to the west of the City, this 7.3 acre park is naturally
wooded and very scenic. It is at present undeveloped. The three entrances are
unmarked at present, but are located north of 3990 Willow Run Drive and south of
the Condominiums; between 4228 and 4218 East Straight Arrow Road; and between
4066 and 4076 Willow Run Dr. Additional access to and parking for the park can
be made from the end of Straight Arrow Rd., just off Willow Run Dr. The park
runs north from the parking lot. From the new Meadows of Beavercreek
Development, pedestrian access can be made at 570 Platner Trail where it
intersects with Longmeadow Ln.

Turn south on Willow Run Drive for about two long blocks to right on E. Straight

Creekside Trail
4.9 Miles of paved trail
This
linear park stretches from Montgomery County to downtown Xenia. It is designed
for bikers, walkers, joggers, and skaters. It is a 12-foot wide, paved
facility with access at many points. Of course, the City owns only the portion
within the City limits; the other portions are owned by Beavercreek Township,
Xenia Township, Greene County, and the City of Xenia. From Xenia, additional
trails go north to Clark County and south to Lebanon. In Montgomery County,
access is to Eastwood Park and beyond.
There is a secondary trail north from Girl Scout Park to
Rotary Park.
In
Beavercreek you can park at Fifth Third Gateway Park and at E.J. Nutter Park.
Additional parking is available at the Township's Beavercreek Community Park
(home to the Girl Scout Memorial) on Factory Road. All of these facilities
feature restrooms and water. There are also a couple of parking spaces in
downtown Alpha and at Grange Hall Rd.. There is biking access from Train-Vu,
North Fairfield Road, Geneva Street, and Factory Road
Greene County Parks Department manages the Trail, providing
maintenance and patrolling. No motorized vehicles are permitted on the Trail.
To host a special event along the Trail, a permit is required from Greene County
Parks. To use Township or City Parks for an event, a permit is required from
the Township or the City. There is no charge.
The trail is open from dawn to midnight, every day of the
year. Snow is not removed from the trail during winter to allow cross-country
skiers access to the facility. No motorized vehicles are permitted on the
trail. Walkers should keep to the right, and bikers and skaters should pass on
the left, and proper etiquette is to ring your bell or call out “passing on the
left.”

Dominick Lofino Park
640 Grange Hall Rd.
 This
36-acre park is located on Grange Hall Road, one mile north of Indian Ripple
Road. It features a seven-acre lake, popular for fishing. A dock and small
picnic shelter are across the dam. A series of trails go through the "north
woods" and through the "south woods" of the Park.
 Four
tennis courts, a large playground and sandbox, a picnic shelter for 150 people
with grills, and a skate park enhance this Park. Public restrooms are open
April through October, dawn to dark. There is plenty of parking in the paved
parking lot, shared with the Beavercreek YMCA. A spiral pathway near the tennis
courts is fun for all.
 The
amphitheater overlooks the lake, and is the site of the City's summer concert
series. A wooden dock surrounds the amphitheater and is a great spot to fish.
The Park also features a walking path.
Lofino Park was a gift of the Lofino Family.

Fifth Third Gateway Park and Ride Facility
4231 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
This small park is adjacent to the Creekside Trail. It is
located where I-675, US35, and Dayton-Xenia Rd. (Old 35) meet. The park
features a small gazebo, bike rack, water fountain, vending machines and a paved
parking lot for 30 vehicles. There is unpaved parking for 30 additional
vehicles. A portable rest room facility is maintained all year at this site.
About half of the funding was donated by Fifth Third Bank and they have placed a
number of memorials throughout the Park. Girl Scout Troop 739 has adopted five
flower beds at the park.
The gazebo can be reserved for weddings.

Fox Run Park
3358 Southfield Drive
 Formerly
Southwest Community Park, this 20-acre Park was renamed in 1998 by the students
at Fairbrook Elementary School who have adopted the Park and also use it for
their land lab. A butterfly garden and flowers have been planted and an outdoor
classroom seating facility has been built. An Eagle Scout project added a
circular walking trail through the woods. The park is mostly undeveloped.
Access is pedestrian only; there are no roads or parking lots at this time. A
park master plan was prepared in 2003 for future development.

Gerspacher Park
2364 Gerspacher Dr.
This 3.4 acre site is developed, with play structure,
shelter, and picnic facilities. Across from the Shaw School Playfields, this
facility also features a short walking trail through the woods. A large field
to the east of the playground is suitable for kite flying or other games.
Gerspacher Park sits on the site of the old Gerspacher
Family Farm, and the playground was built by the neighbors, putting in many
hours to erect the playground and the shelter.

tables and 15 parking spaces.
Grangeview Acres
2816 Blythe Ct.
This older park is located in the north part of
Beavercreek. A small Eagle Scout-built shelter is located near a basketball
hoop, swings, climbers, and a sandbox. A large field is suitable for kite
flying and other games in the 1.5 acre park. In 1999 the neighbors erected
additional playground equipment through a GRIP Grant of Greene County.

Hunter's Ridge
2133 Marchfield Way
This newly dedicated five-acre park is located in the
Hunter's Ridge Subdivision, east of Beaver Valley Road. It includes a large
grassy field, picnic shelter and is accessible by the paved footpath at the end of Basset
Court. A playground built in 2005 is fun for all. From Marchfield Way there is
a small hill.

Lofino Senior Center
3868 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
In 2005 the Beavercreek
Senior Adult Center moved to the former Lofino Food Store. After extensive
renovation, the new facility provides an exercise room, computer room, dining
room, class rooms, and lending library. Lunch is served 3 times weekly, there
are daily special events, plus line dancing, ukulele, billiards and crafts.

In 2006 the Beavercreek Community Theatre completed their
portion of the facility, and their new home is a small, intimate and busy place,
seating 150 and sharing the lobby with the seniors. The BCT hosts a season of 8
productions annually, plus special dinner theaters, classes and special events.
Merrick Park
3179 Creekside Dr.
Merrick Park is a 5.6 acre natural park, running along
Creekside Drive and the Beaver Creek. It is mostly wooded. A footbridge
crosses the creek at Carlsbrook Drive and Golden Drive.

E. J. Nutter Park
865 Factory Rd.
A gift of the late philanthropist and entrepreneur Ervin J.
Nutter, this 24-acre site parallels the new Creekside bike path and is the home
to the Beavercreek Community Athletic Association (BCAA) youth baseball
program. The facility boasts five youth baseball diamonds, a large parking lot,
and access to the bike trail. This park has many wetland features. A large
picnic shelter and small playground enhance the park. Two smaller one-table
picnic shelters are also available.

Turn north on Factory Road. (From Dayton-Xenia Road turn south on Factory

Rotary Park
2260 Dayton-Xenia Rd.
This 72 acre park features eight softball diamonds, four
T-ball diamonds, and two baseball diamonds, as well as a large picnic shelter,
play structure and various soccer fields and volleyball courts. This is the
home of the Beavercreek Jaycee T-ball program, the Beavercreek Sox program, the
Beavercreek Youth Softball Program and the City's adult
softball programs. The softball diamonds can be reserved for weekend
tournaments.
A large picnic shelter adjacent to the playground can be
reserved for parties and picnics by calling or dropping by the Parks Department
Office. Access to Beavercreek Township's Victory Park and Phillips Park is
available through Rotary Park.
This park is owned by the
Beavercreek Township and
managed by the City.

Royal Pointe Park
3041 Park Overlook Dr.
 Centrally
located to a number of homes, Royal Pointe Park is a 5-acre park located on
Beavercreek’s northernmost part. A playground and gazebo highlight this
neighborhood park, whose theme is Medieval and features a dragon climber.

The park is located between N. Fairfield Rd. and Grange Hall Rd. Turn south off
New Germany Trebein Rd. on to Royal Gateway.
Turn left onto Park Overlook Drive, and then right alongside the park.

Saville Farm Estates
1950 Wilene Dr.
 This
6.5 acre park is located on Wilene Drive, adjacent to Cardinal Hills pool and
recreation club. The park features play structures and a large open field. In
1999 the neighbors erected new playground equipment.

Shoup Park
1341 Meadowbridge Dr.
Shoup
Park is Beavercreek's most popular park. This 4.7 acre Park features a mound
slide built into the hillside as well as a large play structure and swings.
Picnicking is popular in this Park A small picnic shelter near the tot lot
provides a shady lunchtime spot. Drinking Fountain available.. A basketball
hoop and large open field make this a very pleasant park. There is pedestrian
access between 1413 and 1403 Meadowbridge Dr.

Spicer Heights
3704 Edge Park Dr.
This five-acre park is located in the middle of the Spicer
Heights neighborhood. It features a round shelter, play structure, and a
fitness par course. There is a large open field and a swing set. This Park was
built with the assistance of the neighboring residents. In 1998 a paved
one-third mile trail was added, connecting all the stations on the par-course.

The Park is located at the intersection of Tulane and Edge Park Roads
Stafford Park
3636 Crab Orchard Ave.
This 11.8 acres park features a creek and a footbridge on
the bike path connecting the neighborhoods and allowing schoolchildren easy
access to school. Playground equipment was added in 1999.

Summerfield Park
1789 Stedman Ln.
 This
11-acre park is located in the Summerfield neighborhood. It runs adjacent to
I-675 and can be easily spotted by the water tower adjacent to the Park. There
is plenty of parking on Stedman Ln. The Retention Area is often used for soccer
games, when it is dry. The new playground is located in the small copse of
woods overlooking the low and high fields.

Tara Park
405 Millstone Dr.
This
2.35-acre park is located in the Tara neighborhood. It is undeveloped and
features both trees and grassy fields. When there is enough snow, the
neighborhood kids sled on the hill. There is pedestrian access from Colonial
Dr. Parking is available on the street.

Veterans' Memorial Park
1911 N. Fairfield Rd.
 A
small triangular park is the site of the Veterans Memorial. A tall column with
globe and eagle atop is the centerpiece of this memorial park. Three flags are
featured at the column, and a star filled with names of Beavercreek Veterans
covers the ground. A sidewalk with additional names continues through the park
to the gazebo and passes historical markers remembering many of our wars.
Services are held each Memorial Day and Veterans Day at 2 p.m.

Virgallito Park
2569 Lantz Rd.
Named after the first Beavercreek Jaycee chapter president,
this 9.2-acre park is located on Lantz Road, just west of Beaver Valley Road.
It features a softball diamond, plenty of parking, a playground, a picnic
shelter and numerous trails through the woods. There is a bike trail access
from Cold Springs Road. The playground was designed to be more accessible than
other City Playgrounds, and features a number of unique amenities for kids to
play with.

Walnut
Grove Park
410 Mulberry Trail
This small park has been added for the residents of the
southern part of the City. Acquired through the parkland dedication process,
the site features a small playground, a play field, and a small shelter.
Parking is available on the side street. There is a pedestrian entrance from
Mesquite Dr.

Wartinger Park
3080 Kemp Rd.
 This
4.3-acre park is home of the
Beavercreek Historical Society and the Flower Trail Garden Club. It
features four small log houses and a barn moved to the site from other locations
in Beavercreek. It also features a large herb garden and the Marie Wartinger
Memorial Garden. This is a beautiful place to picnic. Every fall the Heritage
Day and Herb Day festival is held at this park. During spring and fall, the BHS
hosts Living History for 3rd graders in Beavercreek schools.
